We are now pet owners. We had decided that we would get the kids a new pet. Since we cannot have dogs etc. we decided that maybe a rat would work. We did all the investigation and bought a "Rat House". The kids were so excited to go to the pet store.
This is Isabel. She is a blue rat. It's hard to see her coloring in this photo but she is a pretty pale grey and has pink ears and feet. Layla had picked her out the other day so I was glad when we went to get them she was still there.
This is Jack. Spencer wanted Jack to live with Jill in the rat house. Layla had already picked out the name for her rat and did not want to change it to Jill. So we call her Jack and pretend she is a boy rat.

Better you than me! The pictures are cute, but I don't think I could handle a rat...let alone two. :) Way to be fun parents!
