Hats

McKay in his new hat.
If you are interested in purchasing a 2 dollar bill the number is on the tv screen in the background. LOL!! and if you hurry you can get two bill for $10.00!!

This hat is so cute. It is perfect for a new baby. I accidently made this one. I used a different yarn that worked up a lot smaller that I had planned. Turned out cute though.

The finished Advent Calendar

My favorite ornament. I am so happy that I finished before December 1st :)
I have to laugh at my baby Jesus. Mike said it looks like one of the old school little people babies. If you are noticing that there is an extra button, that's because there is. LOL!! I thought I had dropped a button and when I found one on the floor I went and sewed it on. I was so confused when I went to hang up my little ornaments. I was unable to remove it because I had connected it to a couple of other buttons. I still chuckle every time I look at it.

I loved the numbering it looks great. The other thing I have to laugh at is ALL my numbers especially number one are crooked. It was difficult to sew them on and somehow they all ended up leaning the same way. I love it and hope my kids have fun putting all the cute ornaments on each day. I look forward to making another one so that I can fix all my funny mistakes. LOL :)

Ornaments part 1

Here are the first round of my mini ornaments. I love them, they turned out better than I thought they would. I personalized the socks with the kids initials. They are excited to put up their own ornament.

Advent Calendar

Here is a peak at my advent calendar. It has been a very fun project. My friend Janey embroidered the numbers, that I just love. I am working on making the little ornaments that will hang on the tree. My kids are going to love this.http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/2010/11/would-you-like-to-sew-along-with-me.html Here is the link that got me going on this project.

My Latest Projects

Here are some burp rags I made out of cloth diapers to match the receiving blankets.

Burp rag and blanket set. The blanket is just a yard of flannel that I stitched around. Very easy and very handy for new moms.
I think this is my new favorite blanket. First of all it was RED, second it was very easy & third it just turned out so cute.

In the pattern it says to use jumbo ric rack, but I bought the JUMBO JUMBO ric rack. LOVE IT!!!
