Here is a shot of him using his trusty Sam's Club ladder. He is always ready with all the right equipment. The kids were so excited that they even had the neighbor kids involved in helping. The kids held the lights while Mike put them on the roof. I told him it will be fun to watch him take the lights down when it's zero degrees and everything is covered in ice. We then laughed and decided that we will probably be the family on the street that leaves them up until Easter. After awhile
the kids ended up playing tag and helping me with the leaves. The kids and I had raked the leaves for our neighbor and helped her g
et them all cleaned up. She was very thankful and took Layla in the house to see her cat. It's always fun to teach our kids about service, especially when we are trying to teach them about our Savior and the meaning of Christmas. The house turned out beautiful, except for the fact that we were one string of lights short and could not find the same ones. But, it worked out to put the plain string of white lights on the corner behind the trees.
